Amanda works with wide range of difficulties, with a special interest in women’s mental and physical health across the life span. Amanda welcomes referrals of people aged 16 and above.

She provides a warm, supportive and collaborative approach, using proven and effective treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Metacognitive Therapy, incorporating self-compassion, acceptance and mindfulness.

Amanda can help you manage anxiety ( worry, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety), depression or low mood, irritability, feeling overwhelmed,  grief and loss, life stage transitions and adjustment, low self-esteem, perfectionism, body image issues, binge eating, shame, pain, chronic health challenges, sleep issues, peri natal anxiety/depression, navigating menopause and fertility problems. 

She loves helping women gain clarity and increased understanding about their difficulties and working to help develop confidence and strategies to make helpful changes.

Amanda has specialist interest and experience in working with people with a repetitive negative thinking style. It can be hard to switch off worrisome or negative thoughts and they can maintain our distress, she can help people break free from these negative thinking styles.

We may find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck and unable to move forward in our lives. This can happen at any stage of our life and for many different reasons. My role is to provide a safe and supportive environment to help you understand these difficulties, develop strategies to relate differently to your thoughts, behaviours and feelings and empower you to make helpful changes to your life
