As we are providing a specialist GP service for you, we are different to your regular general practitioner. We spend a little more time to go into detail regarding your women’s health concerns. Woom is a private billing practice. Accounts must be paid at the end of a consultation. Our reception staff can assist you to claim your Medicare Rebate.

Please note that due to Medicare rules, phone and video consultations are only available to patients who have been seen in the practice in person in the past 12 months.
All fees are at the doctor’s discretion and depend on the length of the appointment itself. If you cannot make an appointment, please contact reception via phone or email within 24hrs of your original booking time. Any appointments cancelled within 2 hrs of the appointment or non-attendance will result in payment of the gap fee depending on the type of appointment booked.

We at Woom believe that having a thorough health check – ‘A Well Woman Check’ every couple of years, can ensure that you are doing your best to stay on top of your game.
We are aiming to detect, delay or prevent the current state or future development of chronic conditions.
- 45 mins out of your day to attend an appointment with one of our Women’s health specialist GPs
- We ask that you fill out our pre-consult questionnaire to get the most out of your consultation
- A thorough history is taken, detailing your past history, family history and current health concerns.
- Screening tests are undertaken or checked for recency: cervical screening, breast screening, sexual health, blood pressure and cardiovascular risk, bowel screening and bone assessment
- You may wish to discuss pregnancy planning or contraception
- Risk factors are identified and addressed
- From this point the Women’s Health GP may refer you to one of our gynaecology specialists at Woom or to another specialist or allied health practitioner as required.
