Dr Hunter started as an exercise physiologist before attending medical school. Her vision is to offer women the best of both worlds: evidence-based medicine and holistic lifestyle support.
Gynaecologist and fertility specialist Perth
Dr Hunter’s vision to help women throughout their reproductive years has always been supported by her own life experience. She believes that women deserve specialist healthcare that also respects them as a whole person – not just the medical service where they would be seen as a number.
From her first roles as an exercise physiologist and as a corporate health consultant, Tamara gained experience in the reality of women’s health. When she became a doctor, her work as a gynaecologist now led to the next step: helping women start a family when that was challenging.
As a CREI-accredited fertility specialist, Dr Hunter has been working relentlessly to expand her knowledge. She received 2 academic prizes for her work in preterm birth and in-vitro maturation. She became one of the leading fertility specialists in Western Australia and nurtured the vision for an inclusive, evidence-based and holistic women’s health hub in Perth: Woom.
Our vision is to offer you the best combination of expert help in the space of women’s health: gynaecology, fertility, women’s health physiotherapy, women’s health psychology, and nutrition. I believe that as a woman you deserve to be seen as a whole person and that is what we’re here for.
